Description
The construction of two concrete storage domes at the Ogden, Utah, terminal close to a rail line created an accessible facility to distribute fly ash and cement materials to the market. The capacity of the domes is 25,000 tons and 35,000 tons of cement. The storage dome allows Bridgesource to capture and store winter production of fly ash, which was previously deposited into a landfill.
Products Used
Geneva Rock, a Clyde Company, added PENETRON ADMIX to the concrete mix used for the below grade concrete vault where the materials are transferred from the train transport to the storage domes. PENETRON and PENECRETE MORTAR were utilized to repair the tie-holes.
